We’re looking for a knowledgeable, detail-driven content specialist to join our E-commerce team. This role sits at the heart of how we present and sell music gear online, from guitars and pedals through to synths, studio equipment, and live sound.
You don’t need to be an expert, but you do need a solid foundation in music gear, curiosity, and the ability to turn complex product information into clear, engaging content that helps customers make the right decision. The right candidate will have a chance to build deep product knowledge across multiple categories and have the opportunity to develop into a more senior position over time.
Key Tasks:
- Content Creation: Write clear, engaging product listings and translate manufacturer specs into readable copy that maintains a consistent brand tone.
- Site Management: Efficiently manage and update listings within our CMS/E-commerce platforms to ensure the site is accurate, consistent, and easy to shop. Support campaigns, promotions and seasonal events.
- SEO & Content: Write blogs and buyer’s guides and supporting content. Improve organic visibility through useful, well-structured content and contribute ideas for content that answers real customer questions
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with Marketing, Purchasing, Sales and Suppliers to support product launches and campaigns.
Key Skills:
- Experience: 1–3+ years in E-commerce or digital content, with a background in writing product or marketing copy
- Gear Knowledge (with room to grow): Confidence in at least one core area (e.g. guitars, recording, synths, or live sound), and the enthusiasm to learn the rest of our catalogue
- Technical Writing: The ability to explain technical features in a way that resonates with musicians while maintaining high attention to detail
- Mindset: An organised, proactive approach with a “commercial eye” for how great content drives sales
Bonus Points:
- Knowledge across multiple gear categories
- Experience with HTML with an understanding of on-site merchandising
- Background in MI retail or a similar environment.
